Cannon Rocks Entrance Part 1

We have started with the first phase of the Cannon Rocks entrance, which needs community love and attention.

We have started with the first phase of the Cannon Rocks entrance, which needs community love and attention.

Our wonderful helpers Bongi, Kimi, and Shaun were there doing the physical labour. The real hard work was doing the following:

  • Replanting the sign boards.
  • Digging out the tree aloes from Oom Flip’s garden and
  • Replanting them at the entrance.

Thank you to Oom Flip for donating 9 tree aloes - very generous.

“Dankie Oom Flip, dit word opreg waardeer.” - Adéle

Dankie ook aan Kobus se buurman, Waldo, wat kruiwaens water aangery het.

Ben se “trailer” was ook ons redding toe ons die bome van punt A tot punt B moes karwei.

Then we have Kobus Kruger, Elsa Lombaart en Phillip du Plessis, altyd die staatmakers en ook die ingang span.

Dis gaan haal, plant, idees uitruil, sonbrand. A generous help to the community even with accompanying exhaustion and sunburn ;-)

Thus far we have made use of everything that people have given when we have asked.

Donations in the form of money for the remaining needs of the project would be greatly appreciated, and will go a long way to creating a beautiful entrance to Cannon Rocks. Funds will go to the purchase of paint, flags, and the hiring of a front end loader for rocks.

Looking forward to sharing the second phase with everyone next week.

Greetings

Adéle du Plessis
