With great excitement we opened the Cannon Rocks play park and hosted our first easter egg hunt on the grounds. A special thank you to the 50th festival Committee for organizing the event, which was enthusiastically attended by youngsters and parents alike.
The play park was made a reality by the committed handy work by Jurie and his efforts over time to transform the grounds into an awesome park for adventurous kids and folks who appreciate the novelty of the lovely play grounds we all remember growing up.
Kids were excited with laughter and play in awe of the crafty structures available to the imagination of everyone involved. The play park now has a treehouse, buggy, slide, tires, swings, and a sand pit to name a few, which will keep our kids occupied over the coming months leading up to our much anticipated 50th celebration starting on December 15th.
Lastly, with a massive ground to cover, the easter egg hunt was a challenge to kids and parents, while the smell of sizzling boerrie rolls were flying off the braai, superbly managed by Paul and Kobus. Thank you, they were delicious, easter eggs and boerewors rolls alike.
